Recommendations
Sileymaani Baal encouraged his army, saying: “Victory comes with perseverance.” He added that he did not know whether he would survive the ongoing war, and left the following recommendations:
- Choose, for the position of Almaami, a competent, pious, irreproachable and selfless man, who does not accumulate wealth for himself or his relatives.
- If you find that he is becoming wealthy, dismiss him and confiscate the property he acquired.
- If he refuses to resign, remove him by force and banish him.
- Replace him with a competent person, regardless of his lineage.
- Do not allow power to remain within one tribe, so that it will not be claimed as inheritance.
- Enthrone only those who truly deserve it.
- Do not kill children or the elderly.
- Do not strip women, as this is worse than killing them.
